Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a Children’s Residential service specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Thame. This is a unique opportunity to lead a flagship service in a vibrant market town, driving excellence and innovation in care for young people. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape the service’s therapeutic approach, foster community integration, and work towards achieving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a professional, clinical-led care team, promoting high standards of practice.
- Oversee daily operations, safeguarding protocols, and care plan delivery to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire to support collaborative working and positive outcomes for young people.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including implementing trauma-informed care models and therapeutic innovations.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Proven management experience within an EBD children’s residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and a track record of successful inspection outcomes.
- Resilient, articulate, and professional leadership style with empathy and a commitment to high standards.
