Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children’s Residential home focused on Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the scenic town of Henley-on-Thames. This role offers the chance to oversee a high-quality service committed to therapeutic excellence and positive outcomes for young people. As the Registered Manager, you will have the autonomy to shape the service’s strategic direction, implement trauma-informed practices, and lead a professional care team in a location that promotes wellbeing and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full legal responsibility as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Recruit, supervise, and motivate a dedicated care team, fostering a culture of high standards and continuous professional development.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and therapeutic care, supporting young people’s journey towards independence.
- Represent the service in multi-agency meetings with local authorities across Berkshire and Oxfordshire, ensuring cohesive support for residents.
- Lead the service towards achieving and maintaining ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted status through continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Extensive leadership experience within an EBD children’s residential setting.
- Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and a thorough understanding of the Quality Standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate effectively for young people in a high-profile community setting.
