Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (EBD)

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a high-quality Children’s Residential service specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Theale. This role offers the chance to oversee a modern, therapeutic environment committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a nurturing, safe setting for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the "Registered Person" for the Theale service, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the therapeutic EBD home, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing care team, fostering a culture of professional excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and social work teams across Berkshire and Hampshire.
- Lead on implementing bespoke therapeutic care models, such as PACE or Trauma-Informed Practice.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a Children’s Residential (EBD) setting.
- Deep understanding of the Quality Standards and a successful track record of Ofsted inspections.
- Passion for delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
