Job Description:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a visionary Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) service in the riverside town of Marlow. This role is ideally suited for a leader who excels in high-standard environments and possesses the professional gravitas to manage a service in a highly desirable, community-focused location. As the Registered Manager, you will be given the autonomy to cultivate a therapeutic culture that empowers young people. You will lead a dedicated care team with the goal of achieving and maintaining an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating, ensuring the home remains a benchmark for quality residential care on the Berkshire/Bucks border.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring the home consistently exceeds the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Oversee all aspects of the home’s daily operations, including financial management, safeguarding, and health and safety.
- Drive a culture of excellence by supervising, training, and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-impact therapeutic care.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with social work teams, health professionals, and educational providers across multiple local authorities.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a children’s residential EBD setting.
- Deep expertise in the Quality Standards and a history of successful interactions with regulatory bodies.
- A genuine commitment to advocating for vulnerable young people and a drive to improve their long-term life outcomes.
