Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s residential service in the vibrant riverside village of Bourne End. This role is ideal for a compassionate leader who values a close-knit, community-focused environment where personalised therapeutic work can thrive. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee a home committed to providing stability and a high standard of living for young people, with the aim of achieving and maintaining an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full legal responsibility as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary care team, providing supervision and mentorship to foster a resilient, trauma-informed workforce.
- Maintain a safety-first culture, ensuring safeguarding protocols are robust and the home is inspection-ready at all times.
- Act as the primary liaison for local authorities across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, ensuring smooth transitions and placements for residents.
- Contribute to service development and strategic planning, working closely with senior management.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Significant experience at Deputy or Registered Manager level within an EBD children’s home.
- Proven track record of supporting or managing a service to achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted results.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, staff, and external stakeholders.
