Job Description:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s residential service in the historic village of Cookham. This role is ideal for a leader who values high standards and possesses the professional gravitas to manage a home in a sought-after community. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee a service dedicated to creating a nurturing, high-end environment for young people, with the autonomy to implement innovative therapeutic practices in a location that offers unique community engagement and outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary care team, providing supervision and fostering a culture of professional excellence.
- Oversee the implementation of tailored care plans, ensuring emotional and behavioural needs are met through trauma-informed approaches.
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, supporting positive resident outcomes.
- Drive service excellence and continuous improvement within the home.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).
- Proven success as a Registered Manager or a highly experienced Deputy within an EBD children’s residential setting.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks with a track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.
- Resilient, professional, and empathetic leadership qualities with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
