Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children’s Residential service focused on Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the picturesque village of Chalfont St Peter. This role is ideal for a leadership professional who values autonomy and aims to create a therapeutic environment that supports young people’s development and well-being. The successful candidate will oversee a boutique-style home, ensuring high standards of care and working towards achieving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating in a community that offers a peaceful yet resource-rich setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and current Quality Standards.
- Recruit, supervise, and motivate a multidisciplinary care team, fostering a culture of resilience and empathy.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalised, trauma-informed care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire to support cohesive care planning.
- Lead the service’s strategic development, ensuring a stable, agency-free staff team and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within an EBD children’s residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and a track record of positive Ofsted outcomes.
