Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children’s Residential service focused on Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the historic and prestigious area of Old Windsor. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who values a peaceful, high-standard environment and has the expertise to manage a boutique care home within a sought-after community. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee a service committed to stability, therapeutic excellence, and community integration, offering a unique environment for both staff and young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Recruit, supervise, and motivate a multidisciplinary care team, fostering a culture of trauma-informed practice and professional development.
- Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans, ensuring each young person’s emotional and behavioural needs are met through bespoke clinical models.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities across Berkshire and Surrey to support positive resident outcomes.
- Lead strategic planning and operational management to ensure service excellence and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Proven experience in a management role within a children’s EBD residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks, with a track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.
- Strong leadership skills, resilience, and a compassionate approach to delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to build effective partnerships with local authorities and external agencies.
