Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s residential service in Didcot. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee a modern residential home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a resilient and motivated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full legal and operational responsibility as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary care team, focusing on high-quality training, staff retention, and consistent care delivery.
- Implement and monitor trauma-informed care plans to meet the emotional needs of young people within a safe, structured environment.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Oxfordshire County Council and surrounding local authorities to ensure effective placement management.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).
- Proven success in a managerial role within a children’s EBD setting, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Solid understanding of the Quality Standards and a track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted outcomes.
- A motivated leader passionate about setting high standards and achieving measurable progress for vulnerable young people.
