Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a flagship Children’s Residential service specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Oxford. This role offers a unique chance to oversee a high-profile service in a vibrant city renowned for its academic, cultural, and clinical excellence. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding care, integrating innovative therapeutic practices, and fostering a nurturing environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory stewardship.
- Lead the strategic development of the service, managing budgets, staffing, and operational processes to achieve excellence.
- Oversee the implementation of specialist care models that support emotional and behavioural needs while promoting educational and social development.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with local authorities, CAMHS, and educational providers to facilitate a multi-agency approach.
- Manage and develop a professional staff team, ensuring high standards of practice and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Extensive experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential EBD setting, preferably in an urban environment.
- Proven track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted outcomes and a thorough understanding of the Quality Standards.
- Confident, articulate leadership skills with the ability to represent the service effectively in professional forums.
