Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children’s Residential service focused on Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Wallingford. This role is ideal for a professional who values working within a community-centric environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, therapeutic care for young people. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee a service that aims for 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings, fostering a stable, nurturing, and home-like setting for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full legal responsibility as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a resilient staff team, promoting trauma-informed care and professional growth.
- Conduct regular internal audits and service reviews to maintain continuous improvement and inspection readiness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, ensuring collaborative care planning and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven managerial experience within a children’s residential EBD setting.
- Strong understanding of the Quality Standards and a track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted outcomes.
- A compassionate, empathetic leader capable of managing the complexities of residential care with professionalism and calmness.
