Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Home Manager based in Crewkerne, your daily duties will include:
- Recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing a dedicated residential care team.
- Ensuring the home provides a safe, therapeutic, and enriching environment for children and young people.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including budget management, staffing, and rota planning.
- Maintaining strong compliance standards and ensuring readiness for Ofsted inspections.
- Building effective working relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders in Crewkerne and the wider Somerset area.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Home Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and evidence of achieving positive inspection outcomes.
- Demonstrable leadership capability, with the ability to motivate and develop a stable team.
