Job Description
Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) opportunities are available in Windsor, Berkshire with a leading children’s residential care provider supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You’ll lead a therapeutic, outcomes-focused home with the autonomy to shape culture, develop your team, and drive quality towards an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted standard.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Windsor, your daily duties will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of a children’s residential EBD home in Windsor, Berkshire, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
- Maintaining Registered Person responsibilities and ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
- Recruiting, mentoring, and supervising a care team, embedding best practice and consistent therapeutic approaches
- Developing and overseeing individualised care plans that promote emotional, behavioural, and social development
- Building effective relationships with local authorities and multi-agency partners across Berkshire
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion)
- Proven management or supervisory experience within an EBD and/or children’s residential setting
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, inspections, and evidence-led quality improvement
- Ability to lead effectively within Windsor and the wider Berkshire area
