Job Description:
We are recruiting a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) to lead a specialist children’s home in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. This role offers the chance to shape a therapeutic, trauma-informed service that delivers safe, consistent care and positive outcomes for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Chinnor, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, supervising, and developing a multidisciplinary team, embedding trauma-informed and resilient practice
- Leading safeguarding practice, internal audits, and preparation for inspections, maintaining strong regulatory outcomes
- Building effective partnerships with local authorities and education providers to support holistic care planning
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or near completion)
- Proven leadership experience in a managerial/senior role within an EBD children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge of SCCIF and a track record of positive compliance and inspection readiness
- A resilient, empathetic leadership style suited to a community-based service
