Job Description:
Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) opportunity with a leading residential childcare provider in Ascot, Berkshire. This is a specialist home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), requiring confident leadership, strong compliance, and a therapeutic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Ascot, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the Registered Person, ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing team to deliver consistent, child-centred outcomes
- Driving quality assurance and preparing the home for Ofsted inspections, with a clear focus on achieving ‘Outstanding’
- Building effective relationships with local authority partners, social workers, and families across Ascot and the wider region
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within an EBD and/or complex needs children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, with a track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and the professionalism to represent a high-profile service
