A Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) opportunity is available in Maidenhead, Berkshire with a leading residential childcare provider. This role suits an experienced leader who can deliver high-quality, therapeutic care and drive strong regulatory outcomes within a specialist children’s home.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Maidenhead, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the Registered Person, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
- Providing operational leadership across safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and therapeutic practice within the Maidenhead home
- Recruiting, supervising, and developing a multidisciplinary team to maintain consistent, high standards of care
- Building effective partnerships with local authorities and social work teams to support positive outcomes for young people
- Leading on Ofsted readiness, continuous improvement, and performance management to achieve excellent inspection outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or a highly experienced Deputy Manager within an EBD children’s home
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, the Quality Standards, and evidence of positive inspection outcomes
- Commitment to high standards of safeguarding and therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches
