Job Description:
Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) required for a specialist children’s home in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape a therapeutic, trauma-informed culture and drive consistently high standards of care for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Marlow, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the registered person with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
- Leading the home’s operations, including safeguarding, health & safety, and financial management, maintaining a safe and stable environment in Marlow
- Recruiting, supervising, coaching, and developing a multidisciplinary staff team to deliver consistent, high-impact therapeutic care
- Building effective multi-agency relationships with social workers, health professionals, and education providers across local authorities
- Driving continuous improvement with a clear focus on achieving and sustaining an Outstanding standard of service
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion)
- Proven management/supervisory experience within a children’s residential EBD setting
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted expectations, Quality Standards, and regulatory inspection readiness
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
