Job Description:
Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) opportunity based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire on the Berkshire border. Our client is a boutique children’s residential provider supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a stable, therapeutic home environment. You’ll lead a close-knit team with a clear focus on safeguarding, quality, and achieving consistently strong Ofsted outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) based in Bourne End, your daily duties will include:
- Taking full regulatory accountability for the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Leading, coaching, and developing a multidisciplinary team to embed trauma-informed practice and high-quality care
- Driving quality assurance, safeguarding standards, and inspection readiness to support Good/Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Managing multi-agency relationships with local authorities across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire to ensure effective placements and transitions
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Substantial experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager within a children’s EBD residential setting
- Proven track record of achieving or supporting Good/Outstanding Ofsted results
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with young people, staff, and external stakeholders
