Job Description
Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) required for a specialist children’s home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. This is an opportunity to lead a high-standard, therapeutic service supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), with genuine autonomy to shape culture, quality, and outcomes.
You’ll oversee a bespoke care model in a calm, well-resourced setting, driving stability, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Beaconsfield, your daily duties will include:
- Taking full regulatory accountability and ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and associated guidance
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing staff team, embedding trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
- Maintaining strong quality assurance processes, ensuring ongoing Ofsted inspection readiness through audits and action planning
- Leading multi-agency working with local authorities and professionals to deliver robust care planning and positive outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Substantial experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential EBD setting, with a track record of Good/Outstanding outcomes
- Expert knowledge of the Quality Standards and SCCIF
- The professional resilience and communication skills to lead a high-profile service with confidence
