Job Description
A leading children’s residential care provider is seeking a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) to lead a specialist home in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering trauma-informed, therapeutic care and driving strong regulatory outcomes within a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD) based in Chalfont St Peter, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, supervising, and developing a stable, high-performing staff team, promoting resilience, empathy, and consistent practice
- Overseeing individualised care planning and therapeutic approaches to meet young people’s emotional and behavioural needs (EBD)
- Working collaboratively with local authorities and partner agencies across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring areas to maintain robust support networks
- Driving continuous improvement with a clear focus on achieving and sustaining excellent inspection outcomes under SCCIF
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential – EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or near completion)
- Proven management or senior supervisory experience within a children’s residential EBD setting
- Strong knowledge of SCCIF and a track record of positive Ofsted outcomes
