Job Description:
A Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) opportunity is available in Old Windsor, Berkshire, leading a specialist children’s home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a senior leadership role within a stable, high-standard setting, focused on delivering safe, therapeutic care and strong outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) based in Old Windsor, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, supervising, and developing a multidisciplinary team, embedding trauma-informed and therapeutic practice across the home in Old Windsor
- Overseeing the delivery of individualised care plans and therapeutic approaches that meet each young person’s emotional and behavioural needs
- Building and maintaining effective partnerships with local authorities and external professionals across Berkshire and Surrey to support placement stability and progress
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Proven management experience within a children’s residential EBD setting
- Strong knowledge of the Ofsted inspection framework, with evidence of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes
- Ability to meet regulatory requirements for registration and ongoing compliance (including relevant safeguarding checks)
