Job Description:
A leading children’s residential care provider is seeking a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) to lead a flagship home in Oxford, Oxfordshire. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care alongside strong educational outcomes for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD) based in Oxford, your daily duties will include:
- Holding legal responsibility for the home’s compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and associated Quality Standards
- Providing strategic leadership across staffing, safeguarding, budgets, and operational performance to maintain a stable, high-performing service
- Embedding therapeutic and trauma-informed practice to meet complex emotional needs while promoting academic and social development
- Leading multi-agency collaboration with key stakeholders across Oxford, Oxfordshire, including local authority partners, CAMHS, and education professionals
- Driving continuous improvement to achieve and sustain ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Children’s Residential EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Significant experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential EBD setting
- A proven track record of achieving ‘Good’/‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes and strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks
- The confidence and professionalism to represent the service in high-stakes, multi-agency settings
