Job Description
Registered Manager opportunities are available with our client in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This is a senior leadership role within a children’s residential setting, focused on delivering high-quality, clinically informed care and creating positive outcomes for young people. You will lead a team, shape the home’s Statement of Purpose, and ensure the service operates safely and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager based in Nuneaton, your daily duties will include:
- Leading the day-to-day management of a children’s residential home in line with legislation, policies, and the home’s Statement of Purpose
- Developing and delivering service improvement plans to drive high standards of care and therapeutic practice
- Managing safeguarding, child protection processes, and promoting young people’s rights, wellbeing, and participation
- Recruiting, vetting, inducting, supervising, and developing Residential Support Workers, including rota planning and performance management
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, commissioning authorities, and regulators, ensuring documentation is inspection-ready
- Overseeing budgets, administration, medication processes, and health & safety compliance
- Participating in an on-call rota and ensuring the home environment remains safe, clean, and well-maintained
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
- Significant senior experience within a Children’s Home, including at least three years’ senior-level experience in social care/health
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, National Minimum Standards, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
- Proven leadership, communication, and report-writing skills, with confidence managing inspections and regulatory engagement
- Ability to travel independently and take part in an on-call system
