Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a 7-bed mental health residential service in Merthyr Tydfil. This role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with complex needs, primarily mental health conditions, with some mild learning disabilities and brain injuries. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a commitment to supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager based in Merthyr Tydfil, your daily duties will include:

• Leading and managing the operational delivery of the residential service, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and quality standards.
• Supporting and developing staff to maintain a motivated, skilled, and compassionate team.
• Promoting independence, choice, and respect for the individuals in your care, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Overseeing service quality, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to CIW regulations and best practices.
• Managing budgets, resources, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all service users.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:

• A Level 4 or 5 qualification in health and social care or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting, ideally supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Strong knowledge of CIW legislation, updates, and best practices.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A positive attitude, demonstrating integrity, humility, and a person-centred approach.
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check.
