Job Description
An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) to lead a specialist service in Winnersh, Berkshire. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a modern, therapeutic residential home dedicated to supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the service’s ongoing compliance and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) based in Winnersh, your daily duties will include:
- Taking full legal and operational responsibility for the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Implementing evidence-based, therapeutic care models tailored to young people’s complex needs.
- Managing the home’s budget, resources, and staffing levels to create a safe, nurturing environment.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authority commissioners and social work teams in Winnersh and surrounding areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Proven managerial success within a children’s residential EBD setting, with a focus on staff development.
- Thorough knowledge of the Quality Standards and a successful track record with Ofsted inspections.
- A resilient, empathetic leadership style capable of inspiring a team through complex care challenges.
