Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) to lead a specialist service in Spencers Wood, Berkshire. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a high-quality residential setting for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, within a modern, community-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of care and driving the service towards an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) based in Spencers Wood, your daily duties will include:
- Acting as the "Registered Person" for the service, ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring a dedicated care team to promote a culture of professional excellence and empathy.
- Implementing and monitoring internal quality audits to uphold safeguarding and therapeutic standards.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities in Reading, Wokingham, and West Berkshire.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a Children’s Residential (EBD) setting.
- Deep understanding of the Quality Standards and a successful track record of Ofsted inspections.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of vulnerable young people.
