Our client, a leading provider in children’s social care, is looking for a dedicated professional to oversee and develop services for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) based in Reading, your daily duties will include:
- Ensuring the home complies with all legal and regulatory standards, acting as the “Registered Person”.
- Leading, recruiting, and mentoring a high-performing care team to deliver exceptional support.
- Creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the wellbeing and development of young people.
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders to support positive outcomes.
- Managing operational and administrative tasks to ensure smooth service delivery and continuous improvement.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD), you will need:
- An NVQ/Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be nearing completion).
- Proven experience managing or supervising within an EBD children’s home.
- Expert-level knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- A track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings, or a clear plan to attain them.
