Job Description
An established residential provider in Newbury, Berkshire, is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) to lead their specialised service. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a high-quality children’s home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while delivering exceptional care for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD) based in Newbury, your daily duties will include:
- Taking full responsibility for the operational management of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a multidisciplinary team to foster a positive, professional environment.
- Developing and implementing therapeutic care plans that promote positive outcomes for young people.
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and external agencies across Newbury and the wider Berkshire region.
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed and maintained at the highest standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager | Children’s Residential (EBD), you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a Children’s Residential (EBD) setting.
- Deep understanding of the Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection framework.
- Ability to effectively lead a service in Newbury or travel within the Berkshire region.
