Job Description
We are recruiting a Registered Manager to lead a welcoming children’s residential service in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering safe, high-quality care, developing a strong staff team, and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager based in Southampton, your daily duties will include:
- Leading the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding
- Maintaining compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, including audits, reporting, and quality improvement
- Recruiting, supervising, coaching, and performance-managing staff to build a stable, motivated, high-performing team
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe)
- Minimum 2 years’ residential childcare experience (within the last 5 years), plus experience supervising/managing care staff
- Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence (with access to a vehicle for work)
