This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a brand-new, 4-bed EBD children’s home in Weston-Super-Mare. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to be involved from the very beginning, building a service that will deliver outstanding care to young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

Service Launch & Registration: Take full responsibility for the setup and registration of a new 4-bed children's home with Ofsted.

Ofsted Excellence: Drive the service to achieve and maintain "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings from its first inspection.

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a brand-new team, fostering a supportive and therapeutic culture.

Care Delivery: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic, and child-centered care that meets the complex needs of young people with EBD.

Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of compliance, safeguarding, budgets, and resources.

Basic Salary: £44,425 per annum.

Total Potential Earnings: Up to £53,725.86 per annum with bonuses.

Ofsted Bonus: A bonus of £500 for a ‘Good’ report and £1,000 for an ‘Outstanding’ report.

Occupancy Bonus: Earn an additional £175 per child after the first, which can add up to £525 per month for a full 4-bed home.

On-Call Payments: £10 per day for Monday-Friday and £50 for a Saturday/Sunday shift.

Car Allowance: A generous £2,000 per year.
What We’re Looking For:

Experienced Registered Manager: A proven background in managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting.

Ofsted Expertise: A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and a track record of achieving positive inspection outcomes.

Qualifications: You must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

EBD Specialism: Proven experience in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

Leadership & Drive: An ambitious and autonomous leader with the resilience and passion to launch a successful new service.

Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential.
