Registered Manager - Children's Home (Abergavenny)

Salary: £36,500 - £41,000 per annum
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, effective, and child-centered service. You will be accountable for key areas, including:

Service Management: Maintaining the home's registration with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate of Wales (CSSIW).

Team Leadership: Providing professional leadership, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and assisting in staff recruitment and training.

Financial & Operational Oversight: Managing the home's day-to-day financial systems and ensuring it meets all regulatory and legal requirements, including health and safety.

Child Welfare: Ensuring young people have access to a range of activities that promote independence and self-esteem.
Key Requirements:

Experience: You must have at least five years of experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 10 years, with a minimum of two years at a supervisory level.

Qualifications: You must hold a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young Peoples Residential Management) Wales or an equivalent qualification like the NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and NVQ Level 4 in Management.

Registration: You must be registered with the Care Council for Wales and CSSIW as a Registered Manager.
