Job Title: Registered Manager (Therapeutic Children’s Home)
Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire, South West
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (including bonuses)

Job Description:
Registered Manager (Therapeutic Children’s Home) required for a five-bed residential setting in Chippenham, Wiltshire. This is a rare opportunity to lead a trauma-informed home supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, within a therapeutic community approach.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager (Therapeutic Children’s Home) based in Chippenham, your daily duties will include:

• Leading the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring robust safeguarding and high-quality care.
• Ensuring the service exceeds Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 standards and all relevant legislation.
• Providing empathetic, dynamic leadership—supervising, mentoring, and developing a therapeutic staff team.
• Driving reflective practice and ensuring the Statement of Purpose and records reflect therapeutic practice.
• Managing rotas, on-call arrangements, and staffing matters (recruitment, performance, wellbeing) with operational support.
• Overseeing health & safety, premises compliance, and budget/administration in line with organisational procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager (Therapeutic Children’s Home), you will need:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Residential Children’s Social Care (ideally as a deputy/senior).
• At least 1 year’s management/supervisory experience.
• Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare/Children’s Workforce (or equivalent) or Level 5 (or willingness to work towards within 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care (PACE/therapeutic approaches advantageous or willingness to learn).
• Ability to pass an Ofsted Fit Person Interview.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Enhanced DBS (clear) and positive references covering relevant work.
