Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of children’s residential care services in Weston-super-Mare, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead and develop their children’s home. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on vulnerable children’s lives within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager based in Weston-super-Mare, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of staff to deliver high-quality, personalised care in accordance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
- Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of children by implementing tailored care plans and coordinating access to health, education, and therapeutic services.
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, safeguarding policies, and safeguarding children from harm.
- Managing the home’s operational functions, including staff recruitment, training, performance management, and financial oversight.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, and community partners to promote a nurturing environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing a children’s residential home or similar setting.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and full UK driving licence.
