Are you an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager seeking a new leadership challenge, or a strong Deputy Manager ready for the next step?
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead and oversee two children's homes in Birmingham - B9 postcode area. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage dual EBD homes, supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. Key Responsibilities:

Dual Home Leadership: Oversee daily management of two EBD children’s homes on Daniel Road.

Team Development: Lead, support, and develop two dedicated teams to provide child-centred, therapeutic environments.

Ofsted Compliance: Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations across both services.

Care Planning: Design and manage personalised care plans meeting emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

Safeguarding: Take overall responsibility for safeguarding in both homes, ensuring quality assurance through audits and continuous improvement.

Staff Culture: Recruit, mentor, and train staff, fostering a trauma-informed, supportive, and learning-focused culture.

Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate effectively with local authorities, social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.

Operational Management: Manage rotas, staffing, budgets, and resources efficiently across both settings.
What We're Looking For:

Experience: Proven experience in managing or deputising within a children’s residential care setting.

EBD Expertise: Strong experience supporting young people with EBD/challenging behaviours.

Leadership: Demonstrated strong leadership, resilience, and decision-making skills.

Regulatory Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding law, and Ofsted expectations.

Dual-Site Ability: Capability to effectively lead operations across dual sites.
Requirements:

Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Senior Role Experience: Minimum 2 years in a senior role within children’s residential care.

Specialised Understanding: Sound understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding legislation.

Driving Licence: Full driving licence preferred (for travel between homes and emergency cover).
