Registered Manager – Family Assessment Centre

Our client is looking for a driven Registered Manager to lead their Family Assessment Centre in Oldham. You will be the visionary force, responsible for shaping the Statement of Purpose, driving clinical excellence, and ensuring every member of your team is equipped to deliver high-quality, impactful care.

The Opportunity: What You'll Be Doing
As the Registered Manager, you will be accountable for the entire operation of the service, ensuring compliance, quality, and clinical integrity across all functions.
Leadership & Quality Assurance

Strategic Leadership: Develop, communicate, and deliver the service's Statement of Purpose, ensuring all operations comply with relevant legislation and policies.

Team Management: Provide strong, motivational leadership, supervision, and coaching to the staff team, coordinating recruitment, induction, and continuous professional development.

Clinical Excellence: Produce and execute a development plan that fosters high-quality, clinically informed practice and safeguards the rights and well-being of all residents.

Accountability: Take responsibility for liaising with regulatory organisations, registering with the regulator, upholding all requirements, and managing inspections and documentation.
Operations & Compliance

Casework Oversight: Coordinate and monitor all casework, administrative functions, and internal processes, ensuring the highest standards of performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective relationships with employees, families, multi-disciplinary teams, and commissioning authorities.

Resource Management: Oversee duty rotas, manage the service budget, adhere to the company's financial procedures, and ensure the physical environment remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Ethics & Safety: Ensure professional ethics and safe working practices are demonstrated by all employees at all times, including managing medication processes in line with policy.

Support: Participate in an on-call system to provide essential support outside of standard hours.
Who We're Looking For (Essential Criteria)
The ideal candidate will combine significant operational experience with a clear passion for advocating for children and families.

Qualifications: Possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or a willingness to work towards this immediately). Or be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England

Experience: Significant experience working in a family assessment centre environment.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of child protection, family support services, and all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Skills: Proven leadership and supervisory experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
