Job Title: Registered Manager – Family Assessment Centre

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee their Family Assessment Centre in Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to lead a service committed to supporting children and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a positive, professional environment for staff and service users. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, communicate, and implement the service’s Statement of Purpose, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Provide strong leadership, supervision, and coaching to the team, including recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development.
- Drive clinical excellence by developing and executing a service improvement plan that promotes best practice and safeguards the rights of children and families.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, manage inspections, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Oversee casework, administrative functions, and internal processes to maintain high standards of performance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with families, multi-disciplinary teams, and commissioning authorities.
- Manage resources, including duty rotas and the service budget, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Promote professional ethics and safe working practices across the team, including medication management.
- Participate in an on-call system to provide support outside of standard hours.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards this immediately, or qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within a family assessment centre environment.
- Strong knowledge of child protection, family support services, and relevant legislation.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
