Job Description:
Are you an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager or a high-achieving Deputy Manager looking to make a significant impact in children’s social care? Our client, a leading specialist provider of children’s residential services, offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape a new EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home near Paignton, Devon. This full-time, permanent role is perfect for a visionary leader eager to influence the future of care and make a lasting difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a newly established residential children's service in Paignton, ensuring the highest standard of care and support for young people aged 7-18
- Oversee the setup, launch, and operational management of the EBD therapeutic home
- Shape the strategic direction of the home, including care strategies and team culture with full autonomy
- Mentor and inspire staff, fostering exceptional outcomes and a positive environment for children
- Drive continuous improvement and deliver holistic support tailored to individual children's needs
- Influence the organisation’s future growth by setting best practices for new service developments
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and standards in children’s social care
Candidate Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children's Services)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a children’s residential environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams
- Full UK driving license
- Passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and committed to high standards of care
