Are you an experienced social care leader ready to make a real impact? Our client, a leading specialist provider in children and family services, is launching a brand-new, high-capacity Family Assessment Centre in Doncaster. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a service from the ground up, ensuring it is "Ofsted-ready" for an exciting March 2026 opening.
As the Registered Manager, you will take charge of the final setup phases, directing the service registration, hiring a dedicated team, and establishing a strong, safety-focused culture. This fast-tracked project offers you the chance to shape the environment and policies of a new, innovative facility designed to support 12 families across 5 self-contained flats and additional accommodation within a main house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Setup & Launch: Lead the final stages of service preparation, ensuring all regulatory and Ofsted requirements are met ahead of the opening.
- Registration & Compliance: Collaborate with the Responsible Individual (RI) to manage the Ofsted registration process efficiently.
- Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and train a skilled team of support workers and assessors for a new facility.
- Assessment & Quality Oversight: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based parenting assessments that promote family reunification when safe and appropriate.
- Culture & Environment: Establish a safe, nurturing, and professional environment emphasizing best practices in social care.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience managing residential or family assessment services within a regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a new team from scratch.
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, ideally holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Confident in working within a fast-paced, start-up environment with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
