Job Title: Registered Service Manager – Supported Accommodation

Location: Winchester

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Service Manager to oversee supported accommodation services in Winchester. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-quality, Ofsted-registered service that positively impacts young people's lives. As the Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care, safeguarding, and support, while inspiring and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Service Manager based in Winchester, your daily duties will include:

• Holding registration with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the service
• Leading, managing, and developing a team of support workers to maintain high standards of practice
• Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, quality standards, and relevant legislation
• Overseeing care and support planning, safeguarding, and risk management for young people
• Managing staff rotas, recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and training programmes
• Building strong relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and stakeholders
• Managing budgets and resources effectively within the service
• Driving continuous improvement and leading preparations for Ofsted inspections
• Participating in an on-call rota to support the service as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Service Manager, you will need:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s setting), or equivalent — or willingness to work towards this
• At least 3 years' experience within a residential child care setting
• Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Manager within supported accommodation or residential care for children and young people
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
