Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated individual to join a residential service in Bristol as a Senior Children's Support Worker. This role involves supporting young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). If you are enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to make a positive impact on young people's lives, this could be the perfect role for you. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally within a safe and caring setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example and support the management team during shifts
Mentor and support new staff members
Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age
Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the homes
Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
Support young people’s independence and overall well-being
Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date with individual care plans and guidelines
Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals such as psychologists

Requirements:

Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with young people is essential
Experience within a healthcare or social care setting is essential
Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is essential
Full driving licence is mandatory due to the nature of the role
