Job Overview
We are seeking caring, motivated, and resilient individuals to join our team in Hythe. You will support children and young people with learning disabilities, as well as social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Daily Support: Help young people manage their daily routines, including education, domestic tasks, and emotional well-being.

Safeguarding: Act as a champion for safety by noticing, reporting, and acting on any concerns in line with strict safeguarding policies.

Development: Motivate young people to express themselves and participate in activities that encourage personal growth.

Professional Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide a high standard of care.

Nurturing Environment: Provide a patient, trusting presence for children who may be emotionally vulnerable or challenging.
Essential Requirements

Age Requirement: Applicants must be 21 years of age or older (to comply with National Minimum Standards for Children’s Homes).

Attributes: A nurturing, patient approach and the resilience to handle emotional and behavioural challenges.

Flexibility: Ability to work 15-hour shifts and complete sleep-ins as required.

Experience: Previous care experience is a bonus, but not essential as full training is provided.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is desirable but not required at the point of application.

Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to Hythe.

Checks: All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and compulsory screening.
