Job Description:
An established specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team in Ramsgate, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3/4 qualified professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The Residential Support Worker role in Ramsgate offers a rewarding environment where resilience, patience, and strong values are essential to support young people's social, emotional, and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people in following daily routines, making positive choices, and attending school and appointments.
- Assist with household tasks and educational activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and non-judgemental support.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in care.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or a commitment to work towards Level 3 if unqualified).
- At least 1 year of experience in children’s residential care (preferred).
- Valid driving license with a clean record.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including sleep-ins.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills (Level 2 or above).
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Passionate, motivated, and committed to safeguarding young people.
