Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Reading, Berkshire / Bracknell, Berkshire
Salary: £26,000 per annum plus £50 per sleep-in (approx. £2,600 - £5,200 per annum based on 1-2 sleep-ins per week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nurturing care to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Follow the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to create a safe environment
- Recognise, respond to, record, and refer safeguarding concerns in line with policies
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Implement and follow individualised care plans
- Collaborate with families, external professionals, and team members to ensure cohesive support
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities to promote development
- Maintain accurate records of care and progress
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
Requirements:
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (preferred)
- Previous experience working with children or in a support role is highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication
- Valid driving licence to support transportation needs
- Genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to high-quality support
- Flexibility to work as part of a team or independently
- Willingness to undertake fully funded training, including a Diploma in children and young people after probation
