This Residential Support Worker role is based within a children’s home in Cranleigh, Surrey, and offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives. No prior experience is necessary, as full training, mentoring, and a comprehensive induction are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people within their residential houses, assisting with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and money handling.

- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to assess and monitor each young person’s progress.
- Provide safe and effective physical intervention when necessary, following professional training.
- Build trusting relationships with vulnerable young people, offering clear boundaries and choices to help them thrive.
Requirements:
- Empathy, enthusiasm, compassion, and a drive to make a difference.
- High levels of resilience—mental, physical, and emotional—to meet the challenges of the role.
- Willingness to provide personal care (after full training) to ensure young people remain clean and comfortable.
- Preparedness to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of a week-long induction.
- Own transport is highly desirable due to the semi-rural location.

- On-Site Perks: Meals supplied during shifts and free on-site parking.
- Wellness: Discounted fitness classes and access to Mental Health First Aiders and Occupational Health support.
