Job Description

Residential Support Worker opportunities are available with our client in Bridgend, Bridgend, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a varied, rewarding role focused on building trusted relationships, promoting independence, and helping young people thrive through positive daily routines and engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:

Providing consistent, person-centred support to children and young people with SEMH needs
Building positive relationships, acting as a role model, and supporting emotional regulation and development
Supporting access to activities and community experiences (e.g., sports, days out, enrichment activities) to promote confidence and wellbeing

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people (SEMH/children’s residential experience is advantageous)
Experience working in a care/support setting or a strong desire to develop a career in children’s services
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (due to activities and transport requirements)
