Job Overview
We are seeking a Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team in a residential care setting for children and young people. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week on a rota basis, which includes days, evenings, waking nights, and weekends. The role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 per year.

Responsibilities and Duties

Lead and supervise a team of support staff during shifts, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the service.

Provide guidance, support, and feedback to the team through regular supervision, fostering professional development.

Manage individual cases, ensuring that care plans are tailored and regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of each young person.

Contribute to the development of the service, bringing new ideas and initiatives to improve the quality of care provided.

Act as a key worker for one child, maintaining professional relationships with families and other professionals involved in their care.
Required Skills and Experience

A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or a recognised equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this.

Demonstrated experience in a leadership or shift-leading role within a residential care setting.

Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns, including weekends and overnight shifts, as part of a rolling rota.

Strong experience and training in safeguarding procedures.

Proven ability to develop and implement tailored care plans.
