Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a children’s residential care team in Bridgend, Wales. This role involves supporting young people with complex needs and adverse childhood experiences, helping them achieve their personal goals and develop independence within a caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting young people with their physical and emotional needs, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
• Encouraging and motivating young people to participate in activities such as school, college, sports, and social outings.
• Assisting with daily life tasks and supporting family contact arrangements.
• Promoting independence and helping young people develop life skills.
• Attending to individualised care plans and involving young people in decisions affecting their lives.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker in Bridgend, you will need:

• A genuine desire to make a positive difference in young people’s lives.
• Patience, care, and understanding, with the ability to act as a positive role model.
• A driving licence is essential.
• Experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Mandatory compliance includes a fully enhanced DBS check and registration with Social Care Wales within six months.
