Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition into adulthood? We are seeking dedicated and reliable Youth Support Workers to join our Ofsted-regulated semi-independent living homes in Ipswich. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people aged 16–18 develop essential life skills and confidence to live independently. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact during a critical stage of their development, working in a supportive environment that encourages growth and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical and emotional support to help young people develop skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing appointments.
- Assist residents in accessing education, training, or employment opportunities.
- Establish positive, professional relationships and conduct meaningful key work sessions to support personal development.
- Maintain a safe, supportive home environment that adheres to safeguarding and health & safety standards.
- Keep accurate daily records and collaborate with social workers, health professionals, and educators.
- Contribute to placement reviews and implement individual care plans.
Requirements:
- A valid UK Driving Licence is strictly required for this position.
- A proactive, energetic attitude and a commitment to being a positive influence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Successful applicants must undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults in residential or semi-independent settings.
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or related fields (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
