Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and improvement-driven Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee two children’s homes: one currently rated Good, and a second home preparing for registration under your leadership. This organization is looking for a superstar with a proven track record of driving quality and achieving Outstanding outcomes.

Contract/Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week.

Compensation: £70k basic + bonuses

Travel: Requires spending at least 1 day per week on-site in Clacton-on-Sea.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership: Take a hands-on approach to lead and develop two residential children's homes.

Quality Drive: Drive continuous improvement across both services, focusing on a strong, structured, and values-led approach (warmth, security, empowerment).

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full regulatory compliance with Ofsted & Children’s Homes Regulations and maintain outstanding practice across all operations.

Management Oversight: Mentor, challenge, and support the Registered Managers, leading with initiative and providing necessary structure and energy.

Growth: Seize the opportunity to shape and develop the services as the organisation grows.
Essential Requirements

Experience: Proven background as a Responsible Individual (RI).

Track Record: Demonstrated experience achieving (or significantly contributing to) Outstanding outcomes in Ofsted inspections.

Knowledge: Strong and thorough knowledge of Ofsted & Children’s Homes Regulations.
