Job Description:

Our client, a leading specialist provider in children’s residential services, is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager / Responsible Individual (RI) to join their team in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the launch and management of two new homes, contributing to the organisation’s growth and excellence in care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of service delivery across multiple settings, supporting the organisation’s expansion strategy, and leading with a strategic and compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational management of three homes, including one dual-registered and one solo home, all within a 20-minute radius of Solihull.
  • Lead the launch of two new residential services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Provide strategic leadership and support to the homes’ management teams, fostering a positive and professional culture.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies, ensuring continuous compliance and high-quality care.
  • Support the organisation’s expansion plans through effective planning and resource management.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment for young people and staff, aligned with organisational values.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Responsible Individual (RI) or a high-level Area Manager within children’s residential services.
  • Extensive knowledge of EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and Ofsted regulations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple services and oversee expansion projects.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of care and continuous improvement.
