Job Title: Responsible Individual (Children’s Home) – Part-Time
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, England
Salary: £350 - £550 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to join a Leeds-based children’s home on a part-time basis (1 day per week). This role is pivotal in supporting the opening of a new children’s home, ensuring the service is fit for purpose, and maintaining compliance with OFSTED expectations. If you are an established Responsible Individual with strong leadership and safeguarding oversight, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register as the Responsible Individual for a children’s home in Leeds
- Work with the Director of the organisation to assist with the opening of a new children’s home
- Ensure the service is fit for purpose and operates effectively
- Ensure the service meets OFSTED guidelines and standards
- Lead on recruitment of a brand new staff team for the Leeds home
- Implement policies and procedures for the service to follow
- Lead on safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate action and escalation
- Line manage the Registered Manager
- Support delivery of high-quality care as the Responsible Individual (Leeds-based, 1 day per week)
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management
- Driving Licence
- Experience as a Responsible Individual is essential
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and OFSTED expectations
- Proven ability to lead recruitment, implement policies, and support service development
